This course is only for HL students of the IB HL curriculum. It includes:

IB Mathematics HL and AHL is a course aimed towards students who have strong analytical and technical skills. Students who want to pursue mathematics as a part of their university curriculum usually opt for AHL of mathematics. Moreover, engineering aspirants must also consider HL of mathematics along with IB HL Physics and IB HL chemistry.
The external assessment of Physics consists of three written papers.
- Paper 1: Section A: Compulsory short-response questions based on the whole syllabus. Section B: Compulsory extended-response questions based on the entire syllabus.
- Paper 2: Section A: Compulsory short-response questions based on the whole syllabus. Section B: Compulsory extended-response questions based on the entire syllabus.
- Paper 3: Internal assessment in mathematics SL is an individual exploration. This is a piece of written work that involves investigating an area of mathematics.
